No Notifications on Your Galaxy Phone? Try These Fixes

First of all, understand what these notification lights indicate, as every time different lights blink. The LED notification light is located on the upper front screen of the Samsung S9. Check out the functions of LED lights,

Edge Lighting lights up the edge screen when you receive calls or notifications. You can colour code up to five contacts that will appear in their respective colours when they get in touch, while all other calls or notifications will be shown in neutral bright light.

Galaxy Notification Light Not Working

I have a Note 9 and before I did the android 10 update the LED notification light would always blink for notifications whether in mute, silence, or ring. Now it's very sporadic with it most of the time not blinking when I get notifications. I've double checked and it is definitely on in the general settings and in the settings for the messages and phone apps. Is anyone else having this issue and/or is there fix?

The LED notification light on the Samsung Galaxy S5 is primarily used for notifications. When you receive a text message or miss a phone call, the LED flight will turn on to notify you that you have lost a call.

The LED light is used for things like charging, low battery notification and voice recording. If the battery level is low and the screen is turned off, the LED light will blink red. When the phone is charging, the red LED light will stay on.

Sometimes turning off and on notification fix the problem on the Samsung Smartphone. So, follow the steps to turn off and on notification light on Samsung S9, S10, S20 or Note 20.

My LED light is not working after the 7.0 update for email notifications. I have the Samsung Note 5. My email is always on silent for sound notifications. But I would like to know when an email arrives on a locked or opened screen. I contacted Verizon and he contacted Samsung and they both couldn't come up with a solution. But Samsung stated they would pass it on to the engineers. I did notice if you turn on a notification sound in the email app you will get a LED notification. I even downloaded the Outlook app and it's the same problem. I also noticed with Gmail and Yahoo I was not having any LED problems at all. Does anyone have a fix for this??? Thanks

You won't see how to turn the Galaxy S22's punch-hole into a notification light in your regular settings app. Adding this handy feature requires downloading an app from the Google Play store, but after you've done that and gone through the set-up, you'll have a handy feature that Samsung never thought to add.

A few years back, it was common to find notification LEDs on Android phones that would blink, pulse and flash in various colors to make sure you knew you had something to check. With the move to full-screen designs, there's no longer room to spare in the bezels for these handy lights. That's why you need to download an app like aodNotify (opens in new tab), which turns the perimeter of your punch-hole camera into a virtual LED indicator.

aodNotify works on the Galaxy S22 and other Samsung phones dating back a number of years. It lights up around your punch-hole camera when you get a notification, and there's an impressive amount of customization you can do to make it behave in different ways when notifications from certain apps come through, or if you plug in the phone to charge.

So my phone was working fine last night, but when I woke up this morning, I noticed the notification light blinking, so I went to check and my phone screen won't come on. It stays black, and the notification light is still blinking, I've tried hard resetting it and that doesn't work, so I don't know what the problem is.

So, where do we go from here? Well, perhaps around the display. Samsung's Edge Lighting is much like a notification LED, except instead of being one single light, the entire border of the display lights up. While the feature only works while interacting with your phone, it's a cool replacement for notification popups, and offers a lot in the way of user customization.

Those who know Edge Lighting's past limitations should find comfort that Samsung has updated the feature with One UI. Still, it's not quite a true replacement for the simple nature of the notification LED. Hopefully, Samsung includes an always-on display version of the notification LED, or, better yet, utilizes the ring light around the selfie camera as a notification LED. Sadly, there are no official plans for either of these replacements at this time.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge both have a notification LED light at the top of the device that flashes for incoming alerts, notifications, missed calls and more. This guide explains how to turn off or disable the Galaxy S6 notification light.

The Galaxy S6 notification light glows when the device is charging, and switches from red when low to orange, then green when full. Then it constantly blinks when you have unread messages, emails, missed calls and other notifications, which is nice.

Samsung is one of the most selling mobile phones in the world. Millions of people all over the world use them. In recent times, a lot of users have a common query related to red LED light in Samsung devices. This notification light is a default function of Samsung mobiles and it serves a lot of purposes. It glows when your mobile is charging and blinks whenever you receive any notification like a message or an email. It also blinks if your mobile is connected into a plug but not charging.

When your device is unable to read any specific code in your mobile, then it leads to custom file issues. If galaxy note 2 red light always on even without any notifications or charging, then there might be custom file issues in your device. You need to fix this issue first to solve problem of red light staying on.

If your device is frequently freezing or crashing i.e., it is becoming unresponsive, it might lead to some disruptions in the normal functioning of red notification light. In such case, you need to fix android system to solve this issue.

Defected or poor-quality charging accessories may keep Samsung galaxy s3 light on showing malfunctioning. In this scenario, you have to change the charging accessories. For that you have to do two simple steps to fix it.

One of the earliest problems of the Galaxy S8 is the LED light notification problem. This has been a widespread problem, as various forums across the internet are still flooded with various complaints by users.

One of the best-LED light notification apps for the Android platform, Light Flow Pro comes with endless ways to customize your user experience. You can not only choose sound but also set them to repeat. Similarly, you can set custom colors for individual apps, and control how they repeat and when. There are a number of vibration patterns to choose from.

LED Flashlight Alerts takes a similar approach where you can customize the incoming notifications to work with LED light. But there is another feature. You can also use the camera LED flashlight to get notified about incoming calls and messages. That means there are two ways to get notified.

This app was specifically developed for Samsung S10 series users. The LED light was removed to make room for the Infinity-O display. This app promises to make life simpler by notifying you of new notifications using two ways. One is the Edge Lighting where a thin line around the corners of the phone will light up.

The app lets you choose both third-party and system apps for the notification light. The UI comes in handy as it groups third-party apps, system apps, and active notification apps separately. Lastly, you can change the LED animation time, blink interval, LED shape and size, position, miss call notification, etc in settings.

There are a limited number of apps that offer this very useful feature and even within this small selection, I would recommend just two. If your smartphone comes with a front LED light, go for Light Flow Pro. It is the most feature-rich app and will give you complete control over every aspect of the LED light notification.

I'm using Visual Studio 2019 16.6.0 Preview 2.1 and I'm trying to get vibrate and the light to work on the Galaxy S10 (Android 10) I'm testing my app on. I get the notification, but the phone doesn't vibrate and the light doesn't come on. I'd also like to have a sound as well, but nothing I've tried on here complies in Visual Studio as all examples/samples I can find are in java. My code complies and runs without error.

I'm not real clear why, or how, Android.Support.V4.App.TaskStackBuilder has any impact on the creation of notification sound or vibration (the lights STILL do not work), but it obviously does. I have two phones I test on, one with Android 8 and the other with Android 10. The Android 8 phone has lights, but they are never activated. The android 10 phone apparently doesn't have lights as none of the other apps that turn lights on on the Android 8 phone turn them on on the Android 10 phone.

In their quest to create devices with minimal bezels, Android smartphone manufacturers have removed some neat features, like the notification light. This tiny LED, once present in many smartphones, could notify you of calls, messages, and more. Nowadays, most smartphones lack this inside the notch cutout for the speakers, cameras, and other sensors.

Good Lock works across both the older Samsung Experience UI, as well as the modern One UI interface. It offers plenty of customization features, but to enable LED notification light around the camera cutout, you will need to use the EdgeLighting+ plugin.

The LED camera cutout on your Samsung phone will now show a notification light whenever you receive a notification and your screen is off. Unfortunately, you cannot change the notification LED color for different apps, which would make the app better.

If you miss the old LED notification light on Android phones, these apps let you replicate it on modern Galaxy phones. It's a good way to get notified of important alerts without even turning your screen on. There are a couple of other apps available for Samsung Galaxy phones that can enable LED notifications via the camera cutout, but Good Lock and AodNotify remain the best. 2ff7e9595c
